Corona Thoughts, part 33 (Building Fences and Birdwatching)

4.21.2020

It is Tuesday, but I swear to goodness that I thought it was Saturday when the sun came up.

It is also a workday in that stuff needed to be done for class.  We are about 1 1/2 weeks from finals.

Before work, we had coffee on the porch.  Sadie watered the gardens.  Dad had fertilizer spread on the hayfields.

After lunch, Dad needed help re-hanging some gates and repairing some fences to keep the cows out of the young hay.  Brandon had a meeting at 3, so while he did that virtually I mowed the yard.  Then back to fencing.

Supper was chorizo breakfast burritos.  Then we sat on the front porch to "watch the evening tire" while Stephanie tried to identify a small bird in the crepe myrtle trees.  She thinks it is a Pheobe. Here is some information about the little guy, if that is what it is. Interestingly enough, Audobon Society says this is lost habitat.  Apparently not!

Sadie has been asking to watch Field of Dreams for a long while, so that was tonight's entertainment.  It really is a great movie;  I had forgotten.  Stephanie took advantage of the time to continue to set on the porch to write.  Quiet evening, for sure.

It seems as though people are getting frustrated with this quarantine.  In fact, the world seems to be dividing into two camps:  those who think this is nonsense and those that are scared to death.  I am afraid where the showdown is going.

Jamaica Beach, Day 4

Today started slow, as vacation days should.  No real plans other than a bit of shopping and a nap. Quick breakfast and then helped Brandon....
