Corona Thoughts, part 28 (Waterlines and Campfires)

4.16.2020

Thursday.

Today has been different, at least.  After breakfast and some work for class Sadie and I went to Hubbard to ACE Hardware for some materials to fix the waterline to the chicken coop.  I also got some seeds and Stephanie some cable ties for her stays that she is making.

Upon getting home and having lunch, I started to work on the waterline, but realized that I bought the wrong size of PVC fittings.  I had to go to Atwoods, but they didn't have what I needed, aside from some veggie plants, so I went to Gilfillans.  Home again, and again I worked on the repair, but the glue did not hold.  I will have to buy another elbow joint to fix it at a later date.

The plants from yesterday needed planting, and I put the mint, lavender and Mexican heather in pots while Stephanie went to Brandon's to check on Sadie who hurt her foot on a scooter.  Sadie was invited to spend the night with Emma in her tent in a backyard campout.

I took Sadie up there, and I stayed for a while to visit.  Brandon had a campfire so we shared a few S'mores before I left.  Once home, I played a bit on the guitar, then we continued The Last Kingdom.

It has been a busy day, but a good one for us.

As far as the Covid-19 numbers, there are 20 cases now, but a number have recovered.  Hopefully things will be allowed to open up again soon.

Jamaica Beach, Day 4

Today started slow, as vacation days should.  No real plans other than a bit of shopping and a nap. Quick breakfast and then helped Brandon....
