Start of (Meteorological) Fall

September, or the first weekend of, saw a break in the oppressive heat.  While the first of summer (June and July) were mild, August was oppressive!  

September 1, however dawned cool and overcast with a light north wind.

In Texas it is the first day of dove season and usually we are graced with shotgun discharges.  None this morning; at east none close.

It is a relaxing Sunday morning with coffee on the porch.

Hopefully we will catch a few white bass later.  It is a good day for it!
