Spring Break - Fredericksburg, Day 2

It is cold this morning - around 49 degrees - but the new electric heater certainly kept up.  We slept comfortably.

The Outland Fire bowl was nice this morning and accompanied coffee well.  Today we will see what Fredericksburg has to offer.  We are not here long enough to see everything and don't have the time to dedicate to the Nimitz Museum (They say it is a multi-day dedication in time). A bit of shopping, German food, and perhaps a winery is more on the agenda.  Oh, and Walmart for a new shower head.

The main street comes alive in the morning, and it soon was very busy.  There are many cute shops and I love how they preserve their old buildings here.

Lunch was at Auslanders, and I have to say it was fantastic!!!  Imported German beer, schnitzel, Kopse (German meatballs), and Rouladen, and finished out with apple strudel.  Dad had the sausage plate and Mom had a burger.  So, so good!  I will eat again next week.  Then back to the camper for a rest before we get out again.

Walmart had the shower head we needed, so after a nap we went and picked it up and went by HEB for a case of the German beer we had at lunch.  Then back to help Dad with a stopped up line in the camper.  No one was hungry after the big meal at lunch so we waited later than normal, but eventually we cooked up fajitas, visited for awhile, walked Fergus and settled in for bed.

One more day!

Jamaica Beach, Day 4

Today started slow, as vacation days should.  No real plans other than a bit of shopping and a nap. Quick breakfast and then helped Brandon....
