Spring Break, Day 2

55 degrees this morning in the valley, with a light fog.  The sound of boats and fishermen going out to fish is something I always associate with this place!

It was a quiet morning, so different than summertime here.  A couple cups of coffee and English muffin and egg sandwiches, and it was off to Hollister and the College of the Ozarks.

The greenhouses had neat plants so we bought a collection for our flower pots at home, got some hand lotion from the candle shop, and some gifts at the grist mill.  Then we met Brandon and his family at Hook and Ladder Pizza!  Brandon left them a sticker for Silver City VFD.  This is our favorite pizza place!
Downing Street is cute!  A lady that owned a small shop drew a hopscotch and it entertained the kids for quite a while.

We opted to return to the C of O another day for their famous ice cream.  Mom and Dad decided to go back to spend a little more time with Brandon and family.  Steph, Sadie and I returned to Lilley's.  I love watching the water roll by from the hillside.

Brandon and family are heading to Jasper, Arkansas, where they have an Airbnb.  They stayed last night in the Angler's Lodge (Bass Pro) and said they would do so again.  Topp of the Rock admittance was included.

It warmed up considerable, at 77 degrees by 2 pm (feeling like 82).  Winter seems to be officially over.

The to Walmart for a few more items and Books A Million because Sadie wanted to.

Otherwise, it was a calm day.  And this trip, we are planning one day at a time!

Jamaica Beach, Day 4

Today started slow, as vacation days should.  No real plans other than a bit of shopping and a nap. Quick breakfast and then helped Brandon....
